Performing Arts Curriculum- Key Stages 2-5.
Performing Arts at Key Stage 2-
The students begin performing arts in year 3 and have one 40 minute session per week. The aim at this stage is to build team skills, creativity, confidence and discipline through the development of performance skills.
Performing Arts at Key Stage 3-
Year 7, 8 and 9 students have a one hour lesson each week and will continue to build on skills learnt in the junior department, across a range of performance disciplines and styles.
Performing Arts at Key Stage 4-
At GCSE we offer the AQA Performing Arts syllabus. It is a vocational course, 70% coursework in the form of a portfolio, documenting their progress on the course and 30% Performance module.
Performing Arts at Key Stage 5-
At AS and A2 level we follow the AQA course. It includes coursework and practical and written examinations.
