Single or Double award.
Throughout the course our aim is for the student to achieve personal development acquiring organisational skills, an increase in confidence and degree of self discipline, while experiencing all aspects of the theatre. Students will follow the AQA syllabus, offering a practical and theoretical approach to the subject, hat allows the student to gain either the single or double award.
- Single Award – 1 GCSE
- Double Award – 2 GCSES
During the course they will explore through practice a wide range of theatrical roles developing skills for performance and the technical elements of theatre Towards the end of each academic year they will choose one skill in which to specialise and work intensely as a team to create a polished, multi-disciplinary performance.
Assessment is made in 3 ways;
1. Work in progress (individual progression class).
2. Written exam (on given texts)
3. Practical examination (final performance with coursework portfolio)
